The Release Notes section of the BBS Online Help describes new features, and enhancements to existing features, as they are performed and is designed for existing users to keep up-to-date on the latest changes.

June 2025

24.33.02 - Automatic Conversion of Office National Booklist Web Orders to Sales Orders - We're making Back to School (BTS) processing faster and easier! You can now configure your system to automatically convert Office National Booklist web orders into Sales Orders, helping streamline order processing and reduce manual effort.

24.33.01 - New Way to Access BBS Release Notes - We've listened to your feedback! Many users have told us it's difficult to stay up to date with the new features we're constantly rolling out. After careful consideration, we've made changes to how we share release notes to make them easier for everyone to access - no more relying on email notifications.

24.32.03 - New Racking Label Option - 100x75mm - A new product racking label size has been created in BBS that is 100mm x 75mm which is ideal for pallet racking in the warehouse.

24.32.02 - Changes to Back To School - Create Sales Orders - A new option has been added to the BTS Booklist Management Dashboard that gives users greater control over how Back to School Sales Orders are created. Users can now choose whether or not to edit sales orders at the time of creation or create sales orders automatically without opening for manual editing.

24.32.01 - Convert Multiple Web/EDI Orders to Sales Orders - Users can now convert multiple Web/EDI orders into Sales Orders in one action by simply highlighting the relevant orders in the Web/EDI Order Inbox.

24.31.02 - Back to School Changes - New Features, Delivery Address Edit, Sort Order and Purchasing Comments have been added to Back to School - Booklist Maintenance and Up and Down arrows have been added BTS Booklist Management Dashboard allowing users to reorder booklists quickly.

24.31.01 - ***NEW*** Couriers Please (Per Consignment) Integration - BBS has added a new integration with Couriers Please - Per Consignment, giving you greater flexibility and control over your shipping process. Please note that the existing Couriers Please integration is still available and has been renamed to Couriers Please (Bulk Distribution) for clarity.

24.30.04 - Stock Requirements Manager Enhancement - For suppliers with live or overnight stock level updates, stock levels and their last updated date appear below the last purchase quantity and date in the Supplier Details section of the SRM, from here users can also double click a supplier in the Supplier Details list to order the highlighted item from that supplier, instead of the default supplier. This removes the need to double click the product and manually enter the supplier code.

24.30.03 - Contract Pricing Enhancements - We’re pleased to announce several significant improvements to the Contract Pricing system, designed to streamline management, improve visibility and enhance reporting.

24.30.02 - New Parameters added to the Back To School - Product Requirements Report - Two new parameters have been added to the Back to School Product Requirements Report to enhance filtering and customisation, Booklist Types and Booklist Statuses.

24.30.01 - Audit Trail Screen Enhancements - We’ve made two key improvements to the Audit Trail screens across the system: Search Functionality Added: Users can now quickly find specific entries using the new search field and Expanded Screen View: The screen layout has been enlarged for better visibility and easier navigation.

24.29.01 - Market Code & Customer Group added to Sales Order Management Dashbard Recalc Screen - Two new filtering options have been added to the Sales Order Management Dashboard Recalc screen, Market Codes and Customer Groups. These new filters give users greater flexibility and control to sort, analyse, and manage sales orders.

 

May 2025

24.28.05 - Direct Database Table Access API - We have introduced a new API endpoint that allows direct access to data within database tables. This powerful capability is designed for advanced users who require greater flexibility in accessing raw data for custom reporting or integration with third-party tools.

24.28.04 - New BBS Data APIs for Sales Orders and Sales Invoices - We are pleased to announce the latest enhancement to the BBS API: the addition of Sales Orders and Sales Invoices endpoints.

24.28.03 - Debtor On Account Improvements Phase II - We’ve introduced a new screen to improve visibility into debtor on-account transactions, making it easier to trace and understand how these transactions are applied. Note: No traceability is available for on account transactions prior to May 2025.

24.28.02 - Mailchimp Integration - We’re excited to announce a new integration between BBS and Mailchimp that streamlines customer data management and enhances your email marketing capabilities.

24.28.01 - Ability to insert a line on a quote at a specific line number - Users can now insert a line at a specific position within a quote. When viewing a quote, select the line where you want to add the new line, then click the More Options button and select Insert Line. A new line will be inserted above the selected line, making it easier to edit and manage your quotes precisely. Note: This feature is only available on Quotes.

24.27.07 - Phone Number Hot Link - Call Note Prompt - Phone number hot links now include a prompt for users to enter a note regarding the call when the phone number is double-clicked.

24.27.06 - New Refund Options - Gift Voucher/Store Credit - Users now have the option to issue a Gift Voucher or Store Credit when processing a refund, whether it's for a returned item or a refund of a payment against a sales order.

24.27.05 - Stock Receipting Cost UOM Value Box - The Cost UOM Value field in the Stock Receipting screen is now open for data entry. Entering a value in this field will trigger a recalculation of the Cost per UOM based on the quantity entered.

24.27.04 - ***NEW REPORTS*** Sales Order and Sales Invoice Price Exception Reports - Two new reports have been created to allow users to report on Sales Orders and Sales Invoices where a price has been charged different to the customers default price.

24.27.03 - ***NEW REPORT*** Gift Voucher Report - A new report Gift Voucher Report has been created to allow users to view gift voucher details including expired and finalised vouchers.

24.27.02 - Quick Attach Button added to P/O Management Dashboard – Update ETA’s screen - The Quick Attach button has been added to the Purchase Order Management Dashboard – Update ETA’s screen.

24.27.01 - Discount Tracking - A new Discount Tracking feature has been introduced and can be enabled in Point Of Sale, QuickPOS and Sales Order/Quote Entry & Maintenance. This feature prompts users to provide a reason when charging a sell price lower than the customer's default price or applying a discount percentage.

24.26.05 - Changes to Service Job Management Dashboard - A new button has been added to the Service Job Management Dashboard, giving users the ability to reassign and/or reschedule service jobs directly from the dashboard.

24.26.04 - New Offset button in Debtors Posting - A new Offset button has been added to the Debtors Posting screen, providing users with a faster and more efficient way to manage complex customer payments.

24.26.03 - Field Length Enhancement for Lookups - We have extended the character limit for Customer Code, Vendor Code, Equipment ID, General Ledger Account Number and Employee Code lookup fields across the system. These fields now support up to 50 characters, allowing users to input search criteria directly into the field without needing to click the magnifying glass icon or press the F2 key. This update eliminates the previous 6-character restriction and simplifies the search process by providing greater flexibility and ease of use.

24.26.02 - Sales Contact and email address has been added to New/Reactivated Accounts Report - The Sales contact name and email address has been added to the New & Reactivated Accounts Report.

24.26.01 - Multi-Select in Pick/Pack/Despatch Dashboard - Users can now highlight multiple orders in the Pick/Pack/Despatch Dashboard to batch print pick lists, package labels or mark orders as picked.

24.25.02 - End of Financial Year Changes - Changes have been made to eliminate the need for End of Financial Year backups to be run prior to performing the Inventory/Sales and Debtors Period Rollovers at the end of the financial year.

24.25.01 - New System Parameters for Picking Slips - New system parameters have been added to the Purchasing & Inventory > Warehouse section of System Parameter Maintenance giving users the option to print prices (GST inclusive or GST exclusive) and/or G/P % on picking slips.

 

April 2025

24.24.03 - Debtors On Account Improvements - We’ve made important enhancements to the On Account feature on a Debtor to improve traceability and remove previous limitations.

24.24.02 - Import Meter Readings from Spreadsheet - Users can now import meter readings directly into Meter Reading Entry/Maintenance screen using a spreadsheet. This new feature streamlines the process, saving time and minimising manual data entry.

24.24.01 - Print Product Labels during Stock Receipting - Users now have the option to print product labels during the stock receipting process by selecting the Print Product Labels checkbox on the Receipting Confirmation (Scan In) screen. This allows for labels to be printed and applied to products as the items are scanned saving staff the need to re-identify the products to apply the labels after the receipting process.

24.23.01 - Receipting Confirmation (Scan In) now highlights last product scanned - When using the Receipting Confirmation (Scan In) function in Stock Receipting, the last item scanned will now be automatically highlighted on the screen. This makes it easier for users to see where they left off during the scanning process, reducing errors and improving accuracy.

 

March 2025

24.22.04 - Product Overview added to General Information tab of Global Inventory Enquiry - A product overview has been added to the General Information tab in Global Inventory Enquiry. This enhancement allows users to quickly view a summary of the selected product without needing to navigate to other tabs. Double clicking a line will navigate users to the related screen for the data.

24.22.03 - New System Operator Restriction - A new restriction has been added to System Operator Maintenance allowing users with access permissions to disable the ability to invoice a service job from other users. This restriction allows service technicians to complete jobs without invoicing them immediately, ensuring the jobs can be reviewed prior to invoicing.

24.22.02 - Draft NCNs can now be emailed rather than printed - A new system parameter has been added to System Parameter Maintenance > Sales & Customer Service > Sales Ordering allowing users to enter an email address for NCNs awaiting approval to CARs to be emailed to instead of printed.

24.22.01 - New Ship Via option to not generate delivery paperwork - A new option has been added to Ship Via/Courier Maintenance where users can select to not generate delivery paperwork. This can be used for items that aren't being delivered eg licenses, electronic gift cards, loyalty claims - where the claim is an account rebate etc and an invoice or delivery docket is not required to be printed when the sales order is invoiced.

24.21.01 - Running Invoice total added to Generate Meter Reading Invoices -

24.20.04 - Changes to Company Status Report - Changes have been made to the Company Status Report that allows users to add department totals. Options are: Sales Department Totals (linked to the sales rep code), Product Department Totals (linked to the product group department code) or Both sales and product department totals.

24.20.03 - Ability to Print Product Labels Prior to Receipting Stock - Users can now print product labels prior to receipting stock with our new feature, allowing products to be labeled as they are being checked off the purchase order.

24.20.02 - Send SMS button added to Sales Order Management Dashboard and Picking Run screen - Users will now be able to send text messages to customer's via Sales Order Management Dashboard and Picking Run Maintenance & Invoicing by clicking the Send Follow-Up SMS button in the Sales Order Management Dashboard or the Send Order Collection SMS button in Picking Run Maintenance & Invoicing.

24.20.01 - QuickPOS Change Customer shortcut - Users can now change a customer in the QuickPOS by clicking the pencil icon at the bottom of the screen beside the customer’s name, this new feature complements the existing method available through the More Options (F10) button, providing additional flexibility and ease of use.

24.19.03 - ***NEW REPORT*** Customer Membership Report - A new report Customer Membership Report has been created to allow users to view customer membership details including expiry date.

24.19.02 - Gift Vouchers/Store Credits tab added to Global Customer Enquiry -  A new tab has been added to the Global Customer Enquiry screen, Gift Vouchers/Store Credits. This update allows users to view any active or past gift vouchers and store credits associated with the selected customer.

24.19.01 - New System Parameters for Thermal Receipt Settings - Three new system parameters have been added to System Parameter Maintenance > Sales & Customer Service > Point of Sale designed to enhance the thermal receipt functionality. Display Total Savings off RRP (Loyalty/Member Discounts), Display Total Savings from Promotions (Promotion Discounts) and Display Total Savings from Manual Discounts (Other Discounts).

24.18.07 - Outlook Email Templates for Debtors and Creditors - Users now have the option to send emails via Outlook using a saved template via the email button located beside an email address in Global Customer Enquiry and Global Vendor Enquiry.

24.18.06 - User Notification for Unposted Stock Receipt Invoices - Users with access will now receive notifications for unposted stock receipt invoices directly in the User Notification button.

24.18.05 - New Options Added to QuickPOS Product Shortcut Maintenance - Two additional options have been added to QuickPOS Product Shortcut Maintenance. Prompt Quantities (defaults to "On") – This option will prompt users to enter quantities when selecting products in QuickPOS and Prompt Prices (defaults to "Off") – This option will prompt users to confirm or adjust prices during the transaction process.

24.18.04 - Updates to Web/EDI Order Inbox - We have made minor updates to the Web/EDI Order Inbox to enhance its functionality and user experience.

24.18.03 - Automatic Future Cost Update from Source Product - We are pleased to introduce a new feature that automatically updates the future cost of a product when it is sourced from a source product. This is particularly useful when breaking down an EACH product into individual items, ensuring that the future cost is accurately reflected without requiring manual adjustments.

24.18.02 - New Substitute Product Suggestion Option - A new option has been added to only suggest a substitute product when the original product is out of stock. This enhancement ensures that substitute products are only proposed when the primary item is unavailable.

24.18.01 - QuickPOS - Process Returns - Users can now process returns directly in QuickPOS. This new feature makes it easier to manage return transactions, providing a seamless experience for both you and your customers.

24.17.04 - Gift Voucher Balance added to Thermal Receipts - The gift voucher balance has been added to thermal receipts printed at POS, allowing customers to easily view their remaining balance directly on the receipt. This update enhances the customer experience by providing clear and instant access to voucher information at the point of sale.

24.17.03 - Overseas Shipment Tab Added to Global Vendor Enquiry Screen - A new Overseas Shipment tab has been added to the Global Vendor Enquiry screen. This update enables users to access and track overseas shipments, providing additional visibility and improving the management of international orders.

24.17.02 - Ability to Bulk Import Child Codes to a Parent Code - Users can now effortlessly import child codes in bulk under a parent code, streamlining data management and saving valuable time.

24.17.01 - New Modern Lookup Screens - Several lookup screens which are accessed using * Enter, F2, or the magnifying glass, have been upgraded to a new Modern Keyword Search interface. In the past, users needed to select an Index and enter a ‘Start At’ value to perform a search, or use the Keyword Search F5 button to enter keywords. With the new Modern Keyword Search screens, users can now search for records where any/all the search terms appear anywhere within the records being searched.

24.16.05 - New Menu Item - Special Pricing Levels - Dynamic Price Update - A new item, Special Pricing Levels - Dynamic Price Update has been added to the BBS main menu. This feature allows users to manually trigger a recalculation of special pricing levels that are set up as cost + or sell –.

24.16.04 - QuickPOS - Prompt for Sell Price on Zero Price Items - When entering or scanning a product in QuickPOS with a zero sell price, users will now be prompted to enter the sell price for the item.

24.16.03 - Changing Customer Mid-Sale in Point of Sale - When changing a customer mid-sale in the Point of Sale, users will now be prompted to update the price on line items only where the price was manually adjusted from the original customer/product default price.

24.16.02 - QuickPOS - Ability to Sell the Same Product at Different Prices or Discounts - Previously, QuickPOS did not allow selling the same product at different prices or discount percentages within a single sale. For example, it was not possible to sell 5 items at full price and 1 item at 50% off. This has now been updated. Users can split a sale line to apply different prices or discounts to quantities of the same product.

24.16.01 - Price Type Tracking on Sales - BBS has introduced a new feature to better track prices manually adjusted by users. The customer default price and price type are now recorded on all sales invoice lines. This information is visible in the Sales Invoice Line Enquiry screen, allowing for improved tracking and visibility of any price changes made during the sales process.

24.15.03 - New POS Login option - A new login method has been introduced to the Point of Sale and QuickPOS systems. This new method eliminates the need for users to enter an operator code to process transactions, instead requiring a Sales Rep code for each transaction. This streamlined login process allows businesses to manage POS operations more efficiently, especially when retail staff share point-of-sale logins.

24.15.02 - Product Label Printing from Stock Receipts - A change has been made to the logic used for the printing of Shelf/Product labels. Where a product is set to generate a product label based on the system defaults, product group setting or on the product itself, or where a product label format has been specified in the auto-select screen of Shelf/Product Label Printing, product labels will be generated for the quantity that is going into stock. Where a product is set to print a shelf label based on the system defaults, product group setting or on the product itself, or where a shelf label format has been specified in the auto-select screen of Shelf/Product Label Printing, a single shelf label will be generated if the price is different now to the last time the label printed, or the shelf label has never been printed before.

24.15.01 - Shelf/Product Label Printing Improvements - We are pleased to announce a significant enhancement to the shelf/product label printing system. With this update, users can now set a system wide default shelf/product label size, along with default shelf/product label sizes for product groups and individual products. Additionally, users retain the flexibility to override the default sizes during label printing, ensuring a tailored solution for unique labeling needs.

24.14.04 - Jump To (F8) button added to Instant Global Search (F11) - A Jump To (F8) button has been added to the Instant Global Search (F11) for an array of entities and transactions where the associated enquiry has access to a jump to menu. This improvement saves users from having to navigate from the Instant Global Search (F11) screen, to the associated enquiry, and then to the Jump To (F8) menu.

24.14.03 - ***NEW*** Product Sub-Group Maintenance - We are excited to introduce a new feature that allows products to be assigned to sub-groups in addition to the existing product group. This enhancement provides more flexibility in organising and classifying products, offering improved categorisation for reporting and analysis.

24.14.02 - Manufacturer drop down list - Users now have the ability to create a list of Product Manufacturers via BBS System Lists Maintenance and then select from this list when creating or editing products in Product Masterfile Maintenance.

24.14.01 - Changes to BBS Main Screen - Changes have been made to the BBS main menu with the removal of the Search Menu (F7) button that was at the bottom of the screen and replaced with a search field Filter (F7) which appears at the top of the screen, here users can enter keywords to filter the menu tree to find programs and reports easier. Based on usage data, we've added four new buttons at the top of the screen to include the most frequently used menu items, providing quick access for a more streamlined and efficient user experience.

24.13.05 - ***NEW*** Web/EDI Order Field Mapping Maintenance - A new program, Web/EDI Order Field Mapping Maintenance has been introduced to BBS to eliminate the need for users to manually enter the shipping and payment types on sales orders converted from web orders. Users will be able to map web order values for Ship Via methods and Payment methods to the BBS value, which will then be automatically populated on the sales order when converted from a web order.

24.13.04 - New Field in Web Order/ Enquiry/Maintenance - A new field has been added in Web Order Enquiry/Maintenance displaying to users the requested ship method on the order. This field is automatically populated where available from the integrated website the order was received from.

24.13.03 - New System Parameters - New fields have been added to System Parameter Maintenance > Sales & Customer Service Pricing section allowing users to enter List Price long and short names and Alternate Price long and short names. If left blank, the system will use the default price level names.

24.13.02 - ***NEW FEATURE*** Membership System - We are excited to introduce a new membership system that allows customers to purchase a membership for a set price or receive it for free, enabling them to access exclusive discounts. This new feature provides flexibility for both businesses and customers, offering an easy way to manage memberships and unlock special pricing benefits.

24.13.01 - ***NEW FEATURE*** Gift Voucher/Gift Card and Store Credit Tracking Feature - Previously, BBS did not offer the ability to track gift vouchers, gift cards, or store credits for retail customers. While users could sell a gift voucher using the VOUCHER product code and redeem it via the Voucher payment type in the POS system, tracking the redemption and remaining balance of the voucher was handled manually by the user. A Gift Voucher/Store Credit Tracking feature has now been implemented in BBS to provide better management and tracking.

24.12.07 - New option in Product Masterfile Maintenance - Exclude from Sales Analysis/Reporting - Products can now be marked for exclusion from sales analysis reporting, offering the same functionality previously only available for entire customers or single invoices. This new feature enables more precise and tailored reporting by allowing users to exclude specific products, such as those used for invoicing reimbursements, gift vouchers, and similar items, which do not represent actual sales.

24.12.06 - Positive quantities can now be entered on a credit note - Users can now enter positive quantities on a credit note within Sales Invoice/Credit Entry & Maintenance. This enhancement provides greater flexibility, allowing for more accurate adjustments and easier management of credit notes. By enabling the entry of positive quantities, users can now process exchanges, or adjustments more efficiently, improving overall workflow and accuracy in transaction handling.

24.12.05 - Changes to Pay on Pickup Customer Entry/Maintenance - Changes have been made to the Pay-on-Pickup Customer Entry/Maintenance screen, allowing users to edit CRM custom fields.

24.12.04 - *** NEW QuickPOS Feature*** Product Shortcuts - We are excited to introduce a new feature in QuickPOS that allows users to create customisable product shortcuts for quicker access to frequently used items.

24.12.03 - QuickPOS - Reprint Invoices/Reprint Receipts button moved to More Options Menu button - To make way for an exciting new feature, the "Reprint Invoices/Reprint Receipts" button, previously located on the QuickPOS main screen, has been moved under the More Options button.

24.12.02 - Change Customer option added to QuickPOS - A new option has been added under the More Options button in QuickPOS, allowing users to change the customer for the sale. Previously limited to cash sales only, QuickPOS can now be used for all Walk-In sales, including those for the default cash sale account, pay-on-pickup accounts, or account customers.

24.12.01 - More Options button added to Sales Invoice/Credit Entry & Maintenance - A new button, More Options > Reset Pricing has been added to Sales Invoice/Credit Entry & Maintenance. This new functionality allows users to quickly reset pricing on existing entries, ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing management.

24.11.02 - Audit Trails now visible on Quotes - Audit trails are now visible on Quotes, providing better visibility into all changes made. Users can track the history of each quote, including who made the changes and when, ensuring greater transparency and accountability.

24.11.01 - Sales Order Management Update ETA Comment now recorded in Sales Order Notes/Attachments - When backorder ETA's on sales orders are accepted via the Sales Order Management Dashboard Accept B/O ETAs button, and a comment has been entered, the comment will now be recorded in Sales Order Notes/Attachments.

24.10.04 - Release multiple sales orders from Credit Hold - Users can now efficiently release multiple sales orders from credit hold by selecting the relevant orders simultaneously in the Sales Order Credit Hold Release screen.

24.10.03 - Manual Manifest Print-Out changes - The manual manifest printout has been updated to include additional information for improved tracking and communication. Now, you will see the contact name, phone number, and customer order number directly on the manual manifest print-out.

24.10.02 - More Options button added to Sales Order History tab of Global Customer Enquiry - The More Options button has been added to the Sales Order History tab of Global Customer Enquiry. This button is available when one or more sales orders are selected in the list box.

24.10.01 - eWay token pre-auth $0.01 - When creating a new payment token in Integrated Payment Token Maintenance via eWAY, a $0.01 pre-authorisation will now be processed to verify the validity of the card details provided. This step ensures that the card is ready for charging when required.

24.09.04 - Changes to Bank Transaction Feeds - Create New Transaction - Users now have the option when creating a new transaction for a deposit in the Bank Transaction Feeds screen to enter 'I' followed by the invoice number or 'O' followed by the sales order number or 'C'  followed by the service job number, similar to the process in Bank Deposit Entry.

24.09.03 - Meter Reading Billing Quick Meter Entry - Users can now double-click on any machine listed in the list box in Meter Reading Billing to quickly navigate directly to Meter Reading Entry/Maintenance to enter meter readings for that specific machine.

24.09.02 - New Print Order/Delivery Labels Option - Pallet Labels (A4) - A new option has been introduced to generate A4-sized labels for pallet shipments delivered to customers.

24.09.01 - Changes to Sales Ordering Bulk Maintenance - A new option has been added to Sales Ordering Bulk Maintenance under the Manual Stock Allocation dropdown allowing users to keep the order on manual stock allocation while allocating any available stock.

24.08.01 - VDRS Performance Improvements - We have made significant enhancements to the VDRS, specifically improving the performance of reports that link to other reports. During testing, these improvements have reduced report completion times by up to 90%, making some reports finish in just 10% of the time they previously required.

24.07.02 - BBS <-> BBS Live Stock Levels - We are excited to introduce an impactful new feature in BBS Accounting: Live Stock Level Integration between BBS users! This enhancement enables BBS users to connect and view each other’s live stock levels of products in real time.

24.07.01 - API Integration - We are pleased to announce the release of the BBS API, which now allows external applications to securely access data for products and customers within BBS Accounting. This API provides read-only access via HTTPS (secure) web requests, enabling integration with external systems while maintaining data security and integrity.

24.06.07 - Stocktake - Enter Physical Count changes - Updates have been made to Stocktake - Enter Physical Counts screen to make the screen more user friendly.

24.06.06 - New system parameter for Starshipit Integration - A new parameter has been added to the Starshipit Integration system settings, allowing users to specify whether parcels should default to requiring a signature upon delivery. By enabling this parameter, users can ensure that all outgoing parcels automatically request a recipient’s signature, enhancing delivery security and confirming receipt. This added functionality provides greater control over shipment preferences and aligns with delivery verification needs.

24.06.05 - Customer ageing added to Bank Transaction Feed - Create New Transaction screen - The Bank Transaction Feed - Create New Transaction screen has been reorganised to enhance functionality. Now, when creating a new transaction for a Cash Receipt (Customer Payment), the screen displays the customer's ageing information, enabling users to view outstanding balances directly within the transaction creation process. This update provides greater insight and convenience for managing customer payments.

24.06.04 - New column added to Purchase Order Enquiry - A new column has been added to Purchase Order Enquiry displaying the suppliers item code. Double clicking the Supp Item hotlink will navigate users to the Supplier Product Catalogue Enquiry screen for the selected item, provided a catalogue entry exists for it.

24.06.03 - Manifest Report parameter change - The parameter previously labeled By Courier/Storeperson in the Manifest Report has been renamed to Report By. This updated parameter now includes an additional option, Operator, allowing for more flexible reporting by either courier, storeperson, or operator.

24.06.02 - Picking Run Maintenance & Invoicing - New buttons - Two new buttons have been added to the Picking Run Maintenance & Invoicing screen. Allowing users to (1) view the PDF of all orders in the selected picking run (ie the Picking Run document) and (2) to print a consolidated picking slip for all orders within that picking run.

24.06.01 - New System Parameter - A new system parameter, MPS Cost Recovery Product, allows users to use a specified product code for MPS billing, (Generate Meter Reading Invoices) to account for the value of consumables and other items provided at no cost under the MPS agreement. If this parameter is not configured, the system will default to product code MISC for these charges.

24.05.03 - New System Parameters Screen - The System Parameter Maintenance program has been redesigned, making it easier to navigate and more intuitive for users. This new look is aimed to enhance usability, allowing users to access and manage system parameters with greater ease and efficiency.

24.05.02 - New Print Package Label Screen - Users can now print package labels for individual sales orders via the Print Order button in Sales Order Enquiry or for individual and/or multiple sales orders via the More Options button > Print Order options in the Sales Order Management Dashboard, the Outstanding Sales Orders tab of Global Customer Enquiry and the Outstanding Sales Orders tab of Global Inventory Enquiry.

24.05.01 - More Options Menu for Sales Orders - A new button, More Options has been added to the Sales Order Management Dashboard, the Outstanding Sales Order tab of Global Customer Enquiry and the Outstanding Sales Order tab of Global Inventory Enquiry. This button is available when one or more sales orders are selected in the list box. It enables users to perform Bulk Maintenance on multiple selected sales orders and/or print orders in various formats, including: Sales Order (Internal Copy), Order Confirmation, Proforma Invoice, Delivery Note, Delivery Note (POD), Quotation, Work Order, Picking List (Ad Hoc), Package Label.

24.04.04 - BTS Costing Improvements -  Users now have greater control over cost and gross profit (GP) calculations for Back to School booklists and quotes. Users can now designate a single supplier for BTS cost pricing and apply special BTS pricing to specific customer groups, ensuring more accurate and tailored GP calculations.

24.04.03 - BTS Booklist Quotes - Improvements have been made to BTS booklists giving users the ability to create booklists directly from sales order quotes in Sales Order Entry and Maintenance. 24.03.08 - Additional details and Inventory Enquiry button added to MOQ warning in Stock Requirements Manager - The minimum order quantity warning pop up in the Stock Requirements Manager has been updated. It now includes additional details and an Inventory Enquiry button. This enhancement informs users that when ordering a non-core product from the specified supplier will result in stock on hand remaining based on the selected supplier's minimum order quantities.

24.03.07 - ***NEW REPORT*** Sales Exception Override Report - A new report Sales Exception Override Report has been created to allow users to view all sales exception overrides within a specified date range.

24.03.06 - Sales Exception Overrides are now Audited - Sales exception overrides are now audited on transactions that support auditing. e.g. Sales Orders, NCN/CARs and Reoccurring Sales Orders.

24.03.05 - Sales Ordering - Sales Order Options screen change - Changes have been made to the Sales Order Options section in Sales Order Entry/Maintenance with the removal of some of the tick boxes and the addition of a drop down arrow, where users can now select the sales order type.

24.03.04 - Sales Ordering - Manual Stock Allocation option - Users now have the option to mark a sales order for manual stock allocation. Where a sales order has been marked for manual stock allocation, all items will be backordered and no stock will be allocated to the sales order until it is removed from manual allocation.

24.03.03 - Sales Ordering - Reset Pricing option - Users now have the option to reset the pricing of all lines on a sales order by selecting Reset Pricing under the More options button in Sales Order Entry/Maintenance. Pricing can be reset to Customer Default Price, Standard Sell Price, Catalogue/List Price, Government/Education Price or one of the six special pricing levels (if setup in your system).

24.03.02 - Multiply Line Quantities change - The multiply line option in Sales Order Entry/Maintenance - Lines Tab under the More Options drop down has been renamed to Multiply/Divide Line Quantities and allows users to multiply or divide all quantities on a sales order or quote by a certain value. This can be useful when quoting a customer for a group of items, and they accept the quote and want multiples of the quote or where you quote multiple groups of items and they only want a portion.

24.03.01 - Changes to Shelf/Product Labels - Slight changes have been made to the Print Product/Shelf Labels and Shelf/Product Label Printing screens allowing users to select from a drop down list the prices they wish to print on the labels. Options are GST Inclusive, GST Exclusive or No Price.

24.02.04 - Automatic Substitution of Discontinued Products - Where a product is flagged as Discontinued/Obsolete and has no stock available, and where that product has a substitute product configured, BBS will now automatically substitute the product and display the substitution information to the user when entering Sales Orders/Quotes and POS Sales.

24.02.03 - Edit Opportunity button added to CRM - Opportunities - Users will now be able to edit an Opportunity in Contact Relationship Manager - Opportunities if they have access to CRM Opportunity Definition Maintenance and an opportunity has been selected from the drop down list.

If you use a web phone or soft phone on your PC, this should dial the number directly on the soft phone. 23.01.03 - New Show By option added to Buying Patterns & Analysis - A new Show By option has been added to the Buying Patterns & Analysis tab of Global Customer Enquiry allowing users to display the analysis by Product Department.

23.01.02 - CRM Improvements - Further improvements have been made to the CRM including an upgraded Prospect Entry/Maintenance screen. For companies that use the ABC001 format for customer codes, users will now need to click the New Prospect button to be able to enter the alpha prefix and have the next number assigned automatically.

22.37.01 - Acco Stock on Hand download now available - Acco Brands stock on hand downloads are now available in BBS. Users will need to configure stock on hand downloads for Acco Brands if they wish to receive them.

22.36.01 - New message when creating a purchase order in the SRM - When ordering a non-core product via the Stock Requirements Manager where the quantity on backorder is lower than the quantity being ordered, a message will display when attempting to create the purchase order alerting users to this.

22.35.03 - ***NEW REPORT*** Service Jobs - Works in Progress - A  new report has been added to the Reports Menu in BBS allowing users to view service jobs with costs against them that haven't been invoiced yet.

22.31.02 - BBSCloud Quick Attach Performance Improvement - The quick attach logic has been updated to improve the upload speed of documents to BBSCloud reducing the time it takes to quick-attach documents in the CRM and other parts of the system for users on BBSCloud.

22.31.01 - Adding non-diminishing items when in POS Auto-Mode - Auto-mode in POS will no longer automatically add non-diminishing items to the sale with a quantity of 1. Instead, non-diminishing items will allow users to enter quantities and prices in auto-mode as if the user was in entry mode.

22.30.03 - ***NEW FEATURE*** - Supplier Consignment Stock - A new feature has been added to BBS to allow the receipt of supplier consignment stock for sale to customers prior to receiving an invoice for the goods. While similar to receiving goods on a delivery docket, this feature allows the separation of consignment stock from purchased stock that your business is liable to pay for.

22.30.02 - ***NEW FEATURE*** - Split Sales Order/Quote - A new feature has been added in BBS to allow users to easily split a sales order or quote by selecting one or more sales order/quote lines to split onto a new sales order/quote.

22.30.01 - Original Delivery Docket number added to Stock Receipt Enquiry - For all stock receipted in on a delivery docket or consignment note, this information will now be retained when the stock is linked to a supplier invoice.

22.29.03 - New Option - Inherit Contract Prices from Statement Account - A new tick box has been added to Customer Masterfile Maintenance - Customer/Contract Pricing tab which allows the selected customer to inherit Dynamic and Static contract prices from the statement account.

22.29.02 - ***NEW FEATURE*** Product Variants - The eCommerce Integrations tabs in Product Masterfile Maintenance and Global Inventory Enquiry have been changed to remove the parent/child linking information as this is now rolled into the Product Variants feature. Product variants allow for a generic product to be created for a group of products that are basically the same but differ in size/shape/colour etc. These can be useful to group variable products together for searching, pricing and reporting purposes.

22.29.01 - Double-T Product Upload Data added to eCommerce tab in Global Inventory Enquiry - Double-T product upload data is now visible in the eCommerce Integrations tab of Global Inventory Enquiry allowing users to see at a glance the product data being uploaded and why a product is or is not visible on their Double-T website.

22.28.01 - Bill of Materials New Product Code Request - A new product Code NEWBOM has been created in BBS, which works similar to the NEW product code, but allows users to create a new product code request for a BOM Build Product.

22.27.03 - ***NEW*** Pick/Pack/Despatch Dashboard - A new Pick/Pack/Despatch Dashboard has been added to BBS. The Pick/Pack/Despatch Dashboard is an alternative to the picking run module for smaller businesses that do not want to generate picking slips for all sales orders.

22.27.02 - Audible warnings in POS - When using the Point of Sale Auto Mode option, any popup boxes or warnings that are displayed while scanning products will make an audible sound to alert the user to look at the screen and acknowledge the warning.

22.27.01 - CRM Redevelopment - Phase 1 - The Contact Relationship Manager has been redeveloped to add features, improve performance, provide users with more meaningful information, and make it easier to use. This is the first round of changes, and future changes will be reported in future release notes.

22.26.05 - ***NEW FEATURE*** Customer Spend Quotas - A new tab, Customer Spend Quotas has been added to Customer Masterfile Maintenance allowing users to enter and maintain customer spend quotas to restrict the value a customer can purchase without up-front payment.

22.26.04 - Credit Hold Change - Multiple credit hold reasons may now be displayed for a sales order that has gone into credit hold. For example, the customer may be over their credit limit and also over their terms days. This allows credit controllers to assess all the reasons an order has been held prior to releasing it from credit hold.

22.26.03 - ***NEW REPORT*** Products not Stocktaked - A new report, Products not Stocktaked has been added to the Reports Menu allowing users to view products not stocktaked since a specified date.

22.26.02 - Stocktake Improvements - Several improvements have been made to the Stocktake module in BBS allowing users to create a blank stocktake with no products selected to be counted. Only the products that are then entered/scanned into the stocktake will be considered in the stocktake and will have their quantities adjusted as required. New count entry modes have also been created.

OB22.26.01 - New Office Brands Pricing Import Calculation Method - A new calculation method has been added to the system when importing prices from the Office Brands data portal to calculate the inclusive GST price and then work back to an ex GST price.

22.26.01 - Find Products screen display change - When using the ABC* or *ABC search types in product fields, or when entering a product code where multiple results are returned, the products will now display in the following order: Products with available stock, alphabetically by description, Core Products (items with a min/max), alphabetically by description, All other products, alphabetically by description.

22.25.04 - ***NEW FEATURE*** Find Allocations in Debtors Posting - A new button has been added to the Debtors Posting screen, Find Allocations (F8) where a recursive algorithm is used to loop though the outstanding debit amounts and find any combinations of debits that add up to the credit/payment selected.

22.25.03 - ***NEW FEATURE*** Bundle Products - A new feature has been added to BBS Accounting allowing users to create and configure products as Bundles. A Bundle product is a header product that links together several other products. The bundle product itself is never sold or purchased, only the bundle components are.

22.25.02 - Changes to Related Products - A new related product type called Alternate has been created in Product Masterfile Maintenance allowing users to manually enter alternative product code/s for selected products.

There are new statuses that are automatically calculated based on the job details displayed in Service Job Enquiry, a new option to place a service job On Hold in Service Job Entry/Maintenance has been added as well as new fields in Service Job Entry/Maintenance to include a date/time the work is booked/scheduled to be done.

This is useful for businesses that run several distinctly separate departments within their organisation out of a single warehouse. Departments can be defined based on a set of sales reps (so all sales processed by staff within a department are attributed to that department) or on a set of product groups (so all sales for a set of products is attributed to a department).

OB202301.01 - Double-T Web Orders Import Change - A slight change has been made to Double-T web orders and where data is imported. What was appearing in the Order Description field that the Customers entered at Checkout will now be imported into the Shipping Instructions field.

202212.10 - Low GP Restrictions changed for Promotional Pricing -  logic change has been made with regards to the low gross profit restrictions in both Sales Order Entry/Maintenance and Point of Sale when a current promotional price is being charged. Promotional prices will be treated like contract prices with respect to low GP restrictions meaning that if a current promotional price is being charged and that price is below the minimum gross profit percentage required, an override password will NO LONGER be required.

202212.09 - Changes to Product Masterfile Maintenance Contract Pricing Edit in Excel feature - Four additional columns have been added to the Edit in Excel feature within the Contract Pricing tab of Product Masterfile Maintenance, showing the Current Price GP% and Future Price GP%, the date the product was Last Sold to the customer and the Cost.

202212.08 - Attachment Icon in Debtors Call History - An additional column showing a paper clip icon has been added to the Debtors Call History screen. This allows for better grouping where a product’s description has changed in the past whilst still maintaining the ability to see a split between generic products that allow description change.

GL can be entered in certain sales screens to find and/or create a non-diminishing product code that journals the sale amount for the transaction line directly to a General Ledger Account. This feature is useful for billing customers for out of the ordinary charges or cost reimbursements without the need to create a special product code manually.

202211.11 - ***NEW PROGRAM*** - General Ledger Transaction Explorer - A new program has been added to BBS Accounting that allows searching of general ledger transactions for a specific entity eg Vendor, Customer, Employee, Product etc between a selected date range.

202210.22 - Multi-Factor Authentication Rollout - Following an internal review of security practices within BBS Accounting, it has been discovered that a recent change to the Australian Taxation Office security requirements, requires us to enforce multi-factor authentication (also known as MFA or 2FA - two-factor authentication) for all users that have access to Taxation, Accounting, Payroll and Superannuation related information. Over the next few months, BBS staff will work with business owners and system managers to progressively on-board each of your users identified as requiring MFA.

202210.21 - New Shelf Label Size 70x25mm - A new product shelf label size has been created in BBS that is 70mm x 25mm which fits neatly into flip ticket holders for hang-sell products.

202210.20 - Purchase Order Cancellation Changes - When cancelling a purchase order via the Cancel Order button in Purchase Order Entry/Maintenance, BBS will no longer remove all the lines from the order and mark the order as void. Instead, BBS will set all the order quantities on the lines to equal the receipted quantity (or zero if nothing has been receipted on the line), and mark the header as cancelled to retain the full history of purchase orders.

202210.10 - Fully Paid Orders will now Release from Credit Hold Automatically - Where full payment is made against a sales order via POS - Customer Payment/Refund for a sales order that is on credit hold, the sales order will now automatically release from credit hold.

202210.09 - Address too Long Warnings - The maximum input length of various address fields throughout BBS have been increased to allow for more than 40 characters per line. Instead of enforcing a maximum length per address line, a warning has been added to indicate that the line exceeds the character limit and as such may be truncated on paperwork.

202012.02 - Approving a CAR where the RFC Required box is ticked - When approving a NCN to change it to a CAR, if the 'Request for Credit on Supplier Required' box is ticked and the user has access to RFC Entry/Maintenance a message will pop up asking the user if they wish to raise the RFC now?

202012.01 - Changes to the pop up calendar - The new look pop up calendar can be accessed by clicking the search button beside the required date field or by hitting the F2 key on the keyboard when the cursor is located in the required date field, the calendar now pops up directly underneath the selected date field for better vision.

202011.06 - Purchase Order Management Dashboard - A new Purchase Order Management Dashboard has been added to BBS. The Purchase Order Management Dashboard can be used by Purchasing staff to better manage outstanding purchase orders and can replace most of the functions users perform currently with the Outstanding Purchase Order report.

202011.05 - POS Auto-Mode & Screen Changes - A new feature has been added to the Point of Sale screen allowing users to select between Auto Mode and Entry Mode.

202011.04 - Enquiry Screen Hotlinks - In various enquiry screens throughout the system, hotlinks have been added to some columns in the list boxes. When a user hovers over a hotlink column, the text in the column will underline. Double clicking on an item in a list box hotlink column will navigate the user to the associated enquiry for the item (if the user has access to do so)

202011.03 - Right Click > Find in List - Word Order No Longer Important - When performing a Find in List word search the order of the keywords entered is no longer important as it will now perform a keyword search for all words in all columns.

202011.02 - Bank Statement Enquiry Improvements - Users will notice a change to the Bank Statement Enquiry screen with the rearranging of buttons and the addition of new buttons. Users will now be able to move to the previous statement or next statement in date range for all bank codes (not just the selected bank code) with the click of a button with the addition of the Previous Statement and Next Statement buttons.

202011.01 - Goto buttons for Bank Statement Enquiry - Goto buttons have been added to the Creditors Payment Enquiry and Bank Deposit Enquiry screens that will navigate users with access to the Bank Statement Enquiry screen for the selected transaction when clicked.

202010.13 - Warning added to POS - Customer Payments & Refunds - A new pop up warning has been added to POS - Customer Payments & Refunds notifying users that the selected customer has unupdated/unposted payments and that these transactions should be reviewed prior to continuing.

202010.12 - Unupdated Invoices and Payments - Changes have been made to the Open Items tab of the Global Customer Enquiry to provide better visibility of transactions that have been processed for a customer but have not yet been updated or finalised.

202010.11 - Reverse Stock Receipt Improvements - The purchase order number is no longer entered when performing reverse stock receipts, instead a 'Stock Receipt Number' is selected by clicking the ? which will list all stock receipts, most recent first, for the product code and warehouse code entered.

202010.10 - Changes to Purchase Order Document - The Bin Loc and Stock UOM have been removed from the Supplier's copy of a purchase order as they are no longer required, and the Supplier Item Code now has its own column.

202010.06 - Changes to the More button when wanting more items to load - The More or Load More buttons appear on various screens throughout the system. Currently users are required to click the button to retrieve more transactions until they can see the transaction they are searching for in the list. This has now been changed allowing the user to select between two new options.

202010.05 - Changes to Supplier list in Global Inventory Enquiry and Product Masterfile Maintenance - The purchase unit of measure and the suppliers minimum order quantity are now visible in the Supplier Details tab of the Global Inventory Enquiry and the Suppliers & Cost Pricing Tab in Product Masterfile Maintenance.

OB202009.01 - Copy Web Order Address/Contact Details to Sales Order - Users will now be presented with a new pop up when converting a web order with the web ID 'GUEST' to a sales order asking if they want to use the billing/delivery address and contact details on the sales order, instead of the details on the customer account. This will be useful for B2C orders, and booklist web orders.  

202009.01 - Changes to the Sales Order Management Dashboard - A new column has been added to the Sales Order Management Dashboard displaying the Rep code from the sales order. Also, if a sales order has one or more lines where an Accepted B/O ETA date is now invalid (i.e Purchase Order ETA date has pushed out since the backorder ETA was accepted)  the status column will display with a red background.

202007.2 - Accepting backorder ETA's - A new feature has been added to BBS to allow users in sales and customer service roles to track the status of backordered items and their expected ETA dates from suppliers. Users can accept an ETA date once a customer has been notified, and if that ETA date pushes out, they will be alerted so that they can update the customer again with the new ETA.

202007.1 - Print Quote Totals Y/N - A new tick box option has been added, which is ticked by default when printing a quote to show quote totals on the quote document. Unticking the box will result in no quote totals being printed.

OB202006.02 - Web/EDI Order email linked to CRM templates - The email buttons in Web/EDI Order Enquiry/Maintenance when clicked will now pop up the CRM email window to select a template to send via Outlook to the customer, users can then attach or create a task for the customer.

OB202006.01 - Office Brands Promo Pricing - In the past, when Office Brands put a product on promo, the catalogue and government sell prices, and future cost price for the Office Brands supplier (plus any linked parity pricing wholesalers) in BBS would update to reflect this. From now on when an item is put on promotion the catalogue and government sell prices, and future costs will not change but instead BBS will import a promotional sell price with a start and end date, and a promotional cost price for the Office Brands vendor (plus any linked parity pricing wholesalers), also with a start and end date.

202006.01 - Changes when editing an existing Direct Delivery or Exclusive Buy In Sales Order - A new pop up window will appear when editing an existing direct delivery or exclusive buy in sales order, if the user has access to purchase order entry/maintenance, asking the user if they would like to maintain the purchase order linked to the direct delivery or exclusive buy in sales order that changes have been made to.

202005.04 - Changes to Web Order Inbox - The Web/EDI Order Enquiry/Maintenance list box has changed to multiple lines high. The Web/EDI details of a line item will now appear on the top line of the list box with the BBS Sales order details appearing on the second line. 202005.03 - Multi-Quantity Check - When clicking Save Order on a Sales Order, or Save Entry in the Point of Sale, BBS will double check that any Multi-Quantity entries entered for linear metres or square metres adds up to the Qty Order, Qty Invoice or Qty Backorder fields.

OB202003.1 - EzCode Enquiry - Active Catalogues added and buttons relocated - Active Catalogues added and buttons relocated - A list of Active Catalogues has now been added to the EzCode Enquiry screen displaying to users the catalogue/s the selected EzCode is featured in. Due to adding this new feature we have had to relocate the buttons at the bottom of the enquiry screen.

202003.1 - Sales Order Import Line Items Enhancement - When importing line items into a Sales Order and a product cannot be found based on the product code entered on the import lines spreadsheet, the product will be inserted onto the sales order/quote as a 'M' line.

202002.8 - Filter in SRM remembered - The Stock Requirements Manager filter is now remembered from session to session on a per-user basis meaning it will reopen with the same filter that was last selected when the users previous session was closed.

202002.7 - New Feature - Weeks of Stock Target - A new on-the-fly calculation option has been added to the Stock Requirements Manager to calculate requirements based on a simple ‘weeks of stock’ (WoS) algorithm.

202002.6 - New Parameter for Payment Reminder Emails - Users now have the option in the Send Payment Reminder Emails feature to attach a copy of an up-to-date statement to the payment reminder emails.

202002.4 - New Report - Charge and Hold Storage Report - A new report has been added to the Reports Menu that shows users the charge and hold liability to your customers with the cost value as well as the customers default sell price should you want to calculate a percentage of value to charge customers storage for charge and hold items.

202002.3 - Cancelling a Sales Order with Pre-Payments - When a user cancels a sales order that has pre-payments recorded against it, a pop up message will be displayed requesting an override password.

202002.2 - Auto-release orders from credit hold when pre-payments are made - When pre-payments are applied to a sales order, and the sales order is held in credit hold, and the total of the prepayments equals the outstanding (uninvoiced) value of the sales order, the sales order will be automatically released from credit hold.

202002.1 - Multiple Stocktakes open within the same warehouse - Users can now have multiple stocktakes open within the same warehouse (eg counting multiple product groups or multiple bins on separate stocktakes at the same time).

202001.2 - Weekly Usage algorithm change - We have updated the algorithm to calculate the weighted average weekly usage each night, based on 12x30 day blocks (including the day that has just completed). This means that the weekly usage figures will update each day, and include the most current sales in the calculation making the figure more accurate for its intended purpose.

OB202001.1 - Supplier EDI Invoices - A new feature has been added to facilitate the automatic import of EDI invoices from Suppliers into your system to streamline the stock receipting process. Initially this will only be for invoices received from other BBS users.

201910.5 - Change to Remittance Advice on Documents - A new system parameter has been added where you can provide an email address for customers to send their remittance advices to, that will appear on the remittance advice section of your invoices, statements, pro-forma invoices and POS backorder payment receipts.

201910.4 - POS Till Reconciliation New System Parameter - A system parameter has been added for users who would like to disable the question during the POS Till Reconciliation process to ensure that each days Cash/Cheques will always be in a separate batch (not appended to an existing batch).

201910.3 - New Feature in POS - An option has been added to Point of Sale where you can change all items from quantity invoice to quantity to backorder. This can be useful if you are advised part way through entering a sale that the customer would like the goods delivered instead of taking them immediately.

201910.2 - Sales Dockets - A new document format has been created called a Sales Docket. A Sales Docket is an unpriced copy of a Tax Invoice.

201909.2 - New warning when confirming orders on a picking run - A new warning has been added to advise users when confirming a sales order on the picking run that more stock for that sales order has since been receipted and allocated, and the order is set to reprint.

201909.1 - CVF on Pre-Receipt Checklist - The purchasing conversion factor has been added to the purchase order pre-receipt checklist below the stock unit of measure. This indicates to the user receipting what the quantities will be multiplied by when the goods are receipted in. Users can use this to check the product has been setup correctly prior to receipting.
