The Picking Run button on the main menu allows users to create a picking run and pick orders ready for invoicing.  Please refer to the Picking Run Procedure for more information about how to use this feature.

 

Where picking runs currently exist on the device users will be presented with the Picking Run screen.

 

Where no picking runs currently exist on the device users will be presented with the Start Picking Run screen.

Number 1

Tapping the Reload icon will check BBS for any changes to existing picking runs and stock allocations.

Number 2

Tapping the + icon allows users to add additional orders to the picking run. Refer to Start Picking Run

Number 3

Allows the user to select a warehouse to pick orders for.

Number 4

Allows users to search for a specific order to pick. If a single order is found, it will be automatically opened for picking.

Number 5

Displays the picking run number with a list of orders on the picking run displayed below.

Displays the sequence number of the order on the picking run, the number of pickable lines and the number of backorder lines.

Number 7

Displays the customer code and name, the ship via method and the pick status of the order.

Number 8

Tapping the PDF icon will allow users to view the picking slip on the device for the selected order.

Pick Order xxxxxx - Tapping this button will navigate users to the Picking Slip screen. Please refer to Picking Slip for more information.

Number 1

Warehouse - users default warehouse, tapping the drop down arrow allows users to select a different warehouse.

Number 2

Pick To Date - Orders with a pick date equal to or prior to the date entered will be included on the picking run. Users can select an alternative date by tapping in the Pick To Date field.

Ship Via - Orders with the selected ship via method will be included on the picking run. Tapping the drop down arrow will allow users to select a different ship via method.

Order Selection - Tapping the drop down arrow allows users to select the type of orders to be added to the picking run -

•All Orders - All orders will be added to the picking run.

•New Orders Only - New orders only will be added to the picking run.

•Backorders Only - Backorders only will be added to the picking run.

Pick Next Order - Tapping the Pick Next Order button adds the next sales order matching the selected criteria to the picking run and navigates users to the Picking Run screen. Please refer to Picking Runs for more information.

Select Orders - Tapping the Select Orders button allows users to select from a list of orders to add to the picking run. Please refer to Add Orders to Picking Run for more information.

Users can enter keyword/s to search for a specific order. Keywords used need to be visible on the screen.

Displays the order number, the number of pickable lines and the number of backorder lines.

Number 3

Tapping the PDF icon will allow users to view the Picking List (Ad Hoc) on the device for the selected order.

Add to Picking Run - Tapping the check box field within this button will insert a tick and select the order to be added to the picking run.

Add Selected to Picking Run - Will add the selected orders to the picking run.

Number 1

Tapping the Rubbish Bin icon will remove the order from the picking run.

Number 2

Tapping the Tick icon allows users to either mark the order as Mark as Picked and Ready for Invoicing or Remove Order from Run for Invoicing Later. Please refer to Picking Run Procedure for more information.

Number 3

The top of the Picking Slip screen displays general information relating to the selected picking slip.

Sales Order - Displays the sales order number for the selected picking slip.

Customer - Displays the customer code and name for the selected picking slip. Tapping on the hyperlink will navigate users to the Customer Enquiry screen for that customer.

Picking Slip Type - Displays the picking slip type. Where the picking slip type is ****REPRINT****, users should check the picking history for confirmation.

Freight Note - Displays the freight note if applicable.

Pick by Scanning - Tapping this button will allow users to pick the order via the Pick By Scanning method. Refer to Pick by Scanning for more information.

Addresses - Displays the addresses tab for the customer. Please refer to Addresses for more information.

Picking Run Details - Displays the picking run details tab for the picking slip. Please refer to Picking Run Details for more information.

Number 7

Order Messages - Displays the order messages tab for the selected order. This tab will be automatically expanded where order messages exist. Please refer to Order Messages for more information.

Number 8

Picking History - Displays the picking history tab for the selected order. This tab will be automatically expanded where picking history exists. Please refer to Picking History for more information.

Number 9

Pickable Lines - Displays the number of pickable lines. Users can enter product code/s or keyword/s to search for a specific pickable item on the picking slip. Both Not Picked and Items Picked will be searched.

Not Picked - Displays a list of pickable items that have NOT been picked. Please refer to Not Picked for more information.

Items Picked - Displays a list of pickable items that have been picked. Please refer to Items Picked for more information.

Number 10

Backorder Lines - Displays a list of items on backorder for the selected order. Please refer to Backorder Lines for more information. Where no lines are on backorder this tab will not be visible.

Number 11

Freight & Payment Details - Displays the freight and payment details for the selected order. Please refer to Freight & Payment Details for more information.

Number 12

Users can enter product code/s or keyword/s to search all products. Tapping in this field also allows users to scan a barcode using an external barcode scanner.

Number 13

Tapping the barcode icon will access the devices camera allowing users to scan products.

Number 14

Tapping the double up arrow icon will navigate users back to the product search screen for the previous product search. Where users have not searched for a product since the picking run was created tapping this icon will produce a blank screen.

Tapping the Addresses tab will display the billing address and delivery addresses (if applicable) for the customer on the selected picking slip. Tapping the address hyperlink will navigate to Google Maps on the device showing the address location. Tapping on the phone number hyperlink will initiate a telephone call.

tog_minus Picking Run Details

Tapping the Picking Run Details tab will display the details of the picking run.

Picking Run/Seq - Displays the picking run number and the sequence number of the picking slip on the picking run.

Order Date - Displays the date and time the order was created.

Pick Date - Displays the pick date for the order.

Customer Order No - Displays the customer order number.

Ship Via - Displays the ship via method selected on the order.

Sales Rep - Displays the sales rep on the order.

Entered By - Displays users who entered the order.

Times Actioned - Displays the number of times the selected order has been invoiced.

Last Actioned - Displays the date the selected order was last invoiced.

Tapping the Order Messages tab will display any messages on the order. Messages displayed in italics are hidden messages. Where messages exist on the order, this tab will automatically be expanded when the page is first loaded.

Tapping the Picking History tab will display the picking history of the order. Where picking history exists on the order, this tab will automatically be expanded when the page is first loaded.

tog_minus Pickable Lines

Tapping the Pickable Lines tab will display both, the not picked and picked items in separate sections. Users can search the pickable lines for a specific item by entering keyword/s in the Search Pickable Items field. Keywords used need to be visible on the screen for the pickable line.

Displays a list of pickable items that have NOT been picked. When the Picking Slip page is first loaded the first 10 not picked items will automatically be expanded, where there are more than 10 not picked items users will be required to tap the Load More button to view more items. Tapping the drop down arrow will collapse/expand this section.

Bin Location - Displays the bin location of the pickable item.

Product Code - Displays the product code. Tapping the hyperlink will navigate users to the Inventory Enquiry of the selected line.

EzCode - Displays the product EzCode (if applicable) of the selected line.

OEM Code - Displays the product OEM code of the selected line.

Tapping the image icon allows users to view the image of the selected product.

UOM - Displays the product unit of measure of the selected line.

Bin - Displays the quantity of the item to be picked from the bin location.

Reserve - Displays the quantity of the item being held in the reserve bin location.

Ship - Displays the quantity of the item that needs to be shipped.

 

For lotted items, additional fields are visible:

RNO - Displays the record number.

Exp Date - Displays the expiry date on the Lot

Lotted Item Identifiers (eg Serial No) - Displays the serial number (Applicable for Lotted Items only).

Internal lotted item comments (shown in italics) and external lotted item comments will be visible if applicable.

 

Pick Item - Tapping Pick Item will mark the item as picked and move it from the Not Picked section to the Items Picked section. Where the item being picked requires serial number/s to be entered, the pick item pop up will appear. Please refer to Pick Item Pop Up for more information.

Change Qty - Tapping Change Qty allows users to change the quantity of the selected item that is being picked. Please refer to Pick Item Pop Up for more information.

Tapping the Items Picked section will display the first 10 items that have already been picked on the picking slip, where there are more than 10 picked items users will be required to tap the Load More button to view more items. Tapping the drop down arrow will collapse/expand this section.

Tapping Unpick allows users to change the status of the item from Picked to Not Picked, moving it from the Items Picked section back to the Not Picked section.

Tapping Edit allows users to edit the quantity picked and/or serial numbers entered. Please refer to Pick Item Pop Up for more information.

When the Pick Item button is tapped in the Not Picked section and the product being picked requires serial number/s to be entered, or the Change Qty or Edit buttons are tapped, the below screen will pop up.

Where a quantity is being changed, users will need to confirm the change and then select how to deal with the balance of the quantity. Tapping the calculator icon will bring up the in-built calculator or quantity entry field (depending on the selected product's unit of measure).

Where the item requires serial numbers to be recorded, users will need to enter the serial number/s in the Serial Number field. Tapping the barcode icon will access the devices camera allowing users to scan the barcode/s.

Tapping the Backorder lines tab will display items that are on backorder.

Product Code - Displays the product code. Tapping the hyperlink will navigate users to the Inventory Enquiry of the selected line.

EzCode - Displays the product EzCode (if applicable) of the selected line.

OEM Code - Displays the product OEM code of the selected line.

A message will display if there are any outstanding purchase orders for the product which will show the ETA of the purchase orders.

UOM - Displays the product unit of measure of the selected line.

Backorder - Displays the quantity of the selected product on backorder.

Tapping the Freight & Payment Details tab will display the freight amount (if applicable) entered on the order, the courier zone based on the order delivery address, any prepayment amounts and outstanding balance. Where there is no outstanding balance a prepayment note of OK TO INVOICE will be visible.

tog_minus Completing a Picking Slip

Tapping the Tick icon at the top of the Picking Slip screen will allow users to either mark the order as picked and ready for invoicing, or mark the order as picked and to be invoiced later (eg pick-ups). Refer to Mark Order as Picked.

 

Tapping the Rubbish Bin icon will allow users to remove the order from the picking run. Refer to Remove Order from Picking Run.

Tapping Mark as Picked and Ready for Invoicing will mark the order as picked in BBS Accounting, and the order will remain on the picking run for confirming/invoicing through Picking Run Maintenance & Invoicing.

Tapping Remove Order from Run for Invoicing Later will display the Remove Order from Picking Run screen.

The reason for removing the order from the picking run.

When ticked the order will be flagged for immediate reprint.

When ticked the order will be marked as picked in BBS Accounting. NOTE: this field may automatically fill in depending on the Reason selected.

When tapped, will remove the order from the picking run in the app, and also on BBS Accounting

 

 

tog_minus Pick by Scanning

The Pick by Scanning feature allows users to pick a single product at a time, and ensure they are picking the correct product and quantity by way of matching the product to be picked and the barcode being scanned.

 

Once in the Pick by Scanning screen, each product to be picked will be displayed one at a time, in bin location order, to allow the user to find the product and scan the barcode to mark the item as picked. Where the quantity to be picked is more than one, the user can repeatedly scan the item to confirm the correct number has been picked. When scanning a pack barcode set up in a selling unit of measure in the Warehouse Details Tab of Product Masterfile Maintenance, the pack quantity will be added to the Picked quantity. Once the quantity scanned matches the quantity to be picked, the next product to be picked will be displayed.

Number 1

Tapping the Rubbish Bin icon will remove the order from the picking run.

Displays the details of the product to be picked.

Number 4

Pick Item / Change Qty - allows the user to mark the product as picked, and/or to change the quantity that is being picked by displaying the Pick Items Pop Up.

When tapped, will skip the item and move to the next item to be picked. The screen will return back to this item after all other items have been picked.

Number 6

When tapped, will reset the Picked quantity of the item to zero so that it can be picked again.

Displays the quantities to be picked

Bin - The quantity to be picked from the bin location

Reserved - The quantity to be picked from the reserve area

Ship - The total quantity to be picked and shipped

Picked - The quantity of the item that has been picked so far

Bin Qtys - The box/carton quantities of the product to be picked from the bin location

Resv Qtys - The box/carton quantities of the product to be picked from the reserve area

Allows the user to scan the barcode of the product with an external barcode scanner to ensure the correct product is being picked.

If a barcode is scanned that is present on a selling unit of measure set up for this product in the Warehouse Details Tab of Product Masterfile Maintenance, a quantity equal to the pack/box/carton quantity will be added to the Picked quantity. Otherwise if a valid barcode for the product is scanned and isn't set up on a selling unit of measure, a quantity of 1 will be added. Once the Picked quantity matches the Ship quantity, the user will be taken to the next product to be picked (or the Complete Order if all items have been picked).

Number 10

Allows users to access the devices camera to scan the barcode of the product.

Number 11

Allows users to access the on-screen keyboard to enter the barcode of the product.
