Promotions Maintenance

The Promotion Details section of Promotions Maintenance allows users to create and edit the details of a promotion.

Promotions Maintenance - Promotion Details Screen

	Description - The description of the promotion.
	Active - Clicking the drop down arrow allows users to select whether the selected promotion is active, not active or a manual promotion (future development).
	Start Date - The date the promotion starts. End Date - The date the promotion ends.
	Apply Days - Users can select the days of the week where the promotion will apply. Double clicking a line will select/deselect it.
	Priority - Allows users to select a priority of the promotion. Higher priority promotions override lower priority promotions where multiple promotions would apply to the same sales line.
	Transaction Types: •Sales Orders/Quotes - For future development. •Web/EDI Orders - For future development. •Point of Sale/QuickPOS - When ticked, the promotion will be applied to sales created in the Point of Sales and QuickPOS that meet the criteria. •Debtors Invoices/Credits - When ticked, the promotion will be applied to sales invoices and credits that meet the criteria.
	Promo Scope: •Warehouses - The warehouses the promotion applies to or click to search. Leave blank for all warehouses. •Cust Groups - The customer groups the promotion applies to or click to search. Leave blank for all customer groups. •Price Levels - The price levels the promotion applies to or click to search. Leave blank for all price levels.
	Duplicate Promotion - Allows users to duplicate the selected promotion.
	Delete Promotion - Allows users to delete the selected promotion.

The Promotion Discounts section of Promotions Maintenance allows users to create and edit the discounts for a promotion.

	Add - Allows users to add qualifying details and discounts for the selected promotion. Please refer to Promotions - Add Discount for more information.
	Copy - Allows users to copy the highlighted promotion discount. Please refer to Promotions - Add Discount for more information.
	Delete - Allows users to delete the highlighted promotion discount.
	Search - Users can enter a keyword to search the data in the list box.
	Displays a list of promotion discounts that apply for the selected promotion. Double clicking a line allows users to edit the promotion discount.

For Future Development.

The Promotions - Add Discount screen has multiple sections with each section described below. Note: The qualification and discount sections are separate: the qualification section triggers the promotion, and the discount section applies it. This allows for the sale of certain products to trigger the promotion, but to apply the discount to a different set of products where required (eg buy 5 mixing bowls and receive a rolling pin at 50% off).

Discounts Provided

	Promo Code - The promotions code or click to search.
	Test Promotion - Allows users to test promotions after creation to ensure they are functioning correctly by way of entering a dummy sale to see the results. Promotions - Test Promotion Screen
	New - Allows users to create a new promotion.
	Save - Saves the selected promotion and any changes made. Clear - Clears the screen allowing users to select a different promotion to edit or create a new promotion. Close - Closes the screen without saving any changes.
