Reports Menu > General Ledger > Profit & Loss Report - Percentage Comparison |
The Profit & Loss - Percentage Comparison Report allows users with access to generate a Profit & Loss Report with PTD/YTD figures for the selected period and the same period last year, with percentages next to each account, sub-total and total, comparing the figures against total revenue, total cost of goods sold or total expenses depending on which option is chosen.
It is run just like the standard P&L report with the extra parameter defaulting to show percentages based on Revenue/Income.

Accounting Period |
The Accounting Period chosen will show figures and percentages for the period chosen as well as year to date figures and percentages, for the accounting year selected and the same period in the previous year. Clicking the drop down arrow allows users to select a different period. |
From Cost Centre To Cost Centre |
Used to select a range of cost centres to report on. |
Sub-Account Totaling |
Total to Header Acct - Header accounts will display the value of the header account plus the values of any sub-accounts underneath the header account. Sub-Account values will also be shown separately. Header Acct Balance Only - Header accounts will display the value of the header account only. Sub-Account values will be shown separately. Hide Sub-Accounts - Header accounts will display the value of the header account plus the values of any sub-accounts underneath the header account. Sub-Accounts will not be displayed. |

Yes - The report will display figures including cents No - The report will display figures rounded to the nearest dollar |

Revenue/Income - Will display percentages against each figure based on total revenue/income Cost of Sales - Will display percentages against each figure based on total cost of sales Expenses - Will display percentages against each figure based on total expenses |
When the required parameters have been entered, the Profit & Loss Report - Percentage Comparison will be generated.
