The Employee Leave Request Entry/Maintenance screen allows users to create, approve and maintain employee leave requests.

Number 1

Leave Request – Users can enter an existing leave request number or click magnifying glass to search for an existing leave request. When searching, two options are displayed.

Number 2

New Leave Request - Allows users to create a new leave request.

Number 3

Employee - The Employee this leave request is for

Leave Type - The type of leave the employee wishes to take (or has taken).

Request Status - The status of the leave request.

Comments - Any comments related to the the leave request.

Number 4

Start Date - The first date leave is to be taken.

End Date - The last date leave is to be taken.

Num Days - Displays the number of days (including weekends) that the leave request covers.

Std Hrs - The employees standard hours per pay cycle.

Number 5

Displays a list of dates between the start and end days entered showing the number of hours of leave to pay for each day, the ADE code that the leave hours will be deducted from, the ADE code the leave hours with be paid with, and the status either Unprocessed (not yet paid in a payrun) or Paid (if the leave day has already been paid in a payrun).

Users can click on a day, or highlight multiple days, to change the fields as required.

Number 6

Dept Code - The department code the leave applies to for employees that work across multiple departments.

Qty/Hrs Per Day - The number of leave hours to pay, per day.

Deduct from ADE - The ADE code on the employee's standard payrun to deduct hours from when this type of leave is taken (usually 100 - Base Hourly).

Leave Taken ADE - The ADE code to pay the employee when this type of leave is taken (eg 150 - Annual Leave Taken, 160 Personal Leave Taken etc).

Update - Updates the selected dates with the data entered.

Clear - Clears the data from the selected dates.

Number 7

Displays the total number of hours on the leave request, the total number of hours not yet paid, the estimated leave the employee will have available by the end of the leave request, and the leave balance that this leave request will leave them with.

Number 8

Save - Saves the leave request

Clear - Clears the screen to create or maintain another leave request

Delete - Deletes the leave request

Number 9

Audit Trail - Allows the user to view an audit trail of the changes that have been made on this leave request.
