There can be many reasons why a user may wish to access old BBS data, creating a backup of BBS is the best way to do this. Backups should be created prior to the end of the financial year roll over.
How to Make & Retrieve a Data Backup
When Create EOFY Data Backup is selected from the System module of the Main Menu, users will be required to select what they wish to backup.
Once you have selected an option to create an EOFY data backup, BBS will confirm that you wish to create an EOFY backup for that period and backup type.
Below is an example of what users will see when the backup script is running. Once the EOFY data backup has completed the below screen screen will automatically close.
To Open the backup, type EOM as users code, press enter (there is no password required at this stage).
Select the backup by entering the date and details as shown below.
After entering the date and details the screen below will appear with Read Only in pink. users can enter their personalised user code and password to gain access.
To exit the backup file simply log out of BBS.
